The Marin County Board of Supervisors has unanimously passed a resolution authorizing a $500,000 investment toward safeguarding immigrant communities.

Recent federal actions, including sweeping policy changes and immigration raids, have caused widespread fear and trauma, the county said in a press release. Immigrant communities are facing critical challenges to their safety, livelihoods, and access to essential services, according to officials.
“As a county, we have a responsibility to ensure that every resident, regardless of immigration status, feels safe, supported, and valued,” said Mary Sackett, President of the Marin County Board of Supervisors. “This investment in immigrant support services is not just about funding – it’s about reaffirming our values and making sure people in our community have access to the help they need.”
