Authorities evacuated residents on the east and west sides of Broadway in the Encanto neighborhood of San Diego on Saturday due to a natural gas leak.
The leak was reported at 9:35 a.m. Saturday at 6620 Broadway, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The San Diego Police Department was handling traffic control.
San Diego Gas & Electric was also dispatched to the scene, according to the SDFD, which added that 26 personnel, along with some from the city of El Cajon, were assisting with the incident.
No injuries were immediately reported.
