Who Will Win RuPauls Drag Race Season 17? Ranking the Queens After Episode 10

RuPaul's Drag Race is back, and in a few short weeks, we'll know America's Next Drag Superstar v.17. After ten weeks, we've now eliminated half the competition. We've seen our girls walk plenty of runways, compete in plenty of challenges and deliver plenty of confessionals. So, while we still have a few weeks before the finale, we've got a lot of information already as pertains to the seven remaining queens.

Which brings us to the question: Who will win Season 17 of RuPaul's Drag Race?

To that end, I've put together a ranking of the full cast of drag queens competing this season, ordered from least likely to most likely to be crowned America's Next Drag Superstar. It's a power ranking, if you will, and while there are supposed spoilers on dark corners of the internet, I haven't read any of them. And to clarify, this ranking relates specifically to their chances of winning Season 17 and not just making it far.

This week, Arrietty was sent home, which wasn't particularly shocking, given her track record in comedy challenges and the fact this week was a roast. Last week, I'd slotted her in sixth of eight, but I'd said that really the bottom three queens could be eliminated in any order depending on what challenge arrived first.

You can read last week's ranking here, and check back every week throughout the season for updated rankings as the queens are eliminated. But without further ado, here's our ranking after Episode 10.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17 Episode 10 Power Rankings

Lana Ja'Rae on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17

    MTV

    7. Lana Ja'Rae

Last Week: 8thTrack Record: Safe, Safe, Safe, Safe, Bottom, Bottom, Safe, Safe, Top

While Lana Ja'Rae did earn a spot in the top this week for the first time this season, I still am ranking her last yet again. She's now the only queen without a win, and it just seems like her and Lydia B. Kollins are in a different tier of contestant than the other five. Lana would really need to step up her game AND have a top queen flounder to finish above 6th place.

Lydia B. Kollins on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17

    MTV

    6. Lydia B. Kollins

Last Week: 7thTrack Record: Safe, Safe, Safe, Bottom, Safe, Safe, Safe, Bottom, Win

I've been saying all season that RuPaul clearly adores Lydia. That's kept Lydia from being eliminated, but until this week, it hadn't earned her a win. While this does seemingly push her past Lana in the ranking, her track record is still much worse than Lexi Love and Jewels Sparkles, despite having the same number of wins. If Lydia can really lock in next week, there's a chance we could see a late stage surge from her. But I don't think she'll be able to win the season even so.

Lexi Love on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17

    MTV

    5. Lexi Love

Last Week: 5thTrack Record: Win, Safe, Safe, Safe, Safe, Top, Safe, Top, Bottom

While I really do adore Lexi, her penchant for getting into fights may be souring her ability to win. She got the inner saboteur pep talk from RuPaul this week after she spent most of the episode, instead of writing jokes, raging at Jewels for slotting her after Suzie Toot in the roast order. It was Lexi's first trip to the bottom, but she hasn't won a Maxi challenge since Episode 2. She's going to need to have another breakout moment soon, or she could find herself just outside the top four.

Jewels Sparkles on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17

    MTV

    4. Jewels Sparkles

Last Week: 4thTrack Record: Top, Safe, Safe, Safe, Safe, Top, Top, Win, Bottom

After three very strong weeks in a row, Jewels faltered this week during the roast. How much of that can be attributed to the fact that Arrietty stole two of her jokes, and Jewels didn't realize it until DURING the challenge? Time will tell. I do still think Jewels, who has given us the best confessionals all season long, has a shot at the win, especially since some of the front runners didn't shine this week either.

Suzie Toot on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17

    MTV

    3. Suzie Toot

Last Week: 3rdTrack Record: Win, Safe, Top, Win, Safe, Safe, Top, Safe, Safe

Suzie Toot is on a bit of a dry spell after her two wins early on this season. She keeps talking a big game, but has ended up as safe in four out of the past five episodes. With only seven queens left, we've reached the end of safe placements, so Suzie will need to either turn up the heat or find herself in the bottom. A third win will be heading to one of the front runners soon, and Suzie needs it to solidify her spot in the finale.

Onya Nurve on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17

    MTV

    2. Onya Nurve

Last Week: 2ndTrack Record: Safe, Top, Win, Top, Safe, Win, Top, Bottom, Safe

While Onya also didn't particularly excel in the roast challenge, I think she's still a pretty strong lock for the finale. RuPaul loves her and she doesn't really have any obvious weaknesses. A third win for Onya seems VERY likely, and queens with three wins rarely get chopped before the finals. If she can have a few more strong weeks, she could easily clinch the crown.

Sam Star on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17

    MTV

    1. Sam Star

Last Week: 1stTrack Record: Safe, Win, Safe, Bottom, Top, Top, Win, Safe, Top

With every passing week, Sam Star seems the more and more likely winner of Season 17. She performed incredibly well at the roast this week and earned a spot in the top three for the fifth week this season. The judges also mentioned again that she took the critique about being too polished a few weeks back and is really letting loose. That's a common judges' critique that is RARELY sidestepped, so the fact they're complementing Sam on how she's improving is noteworthy. Sam's also the only queen who's managed to stay relatively controversy free this season. The other queens really need to step up their game if they expect to take out Sam.
