On Friday, the Denver Police Department said Rafael Acosta-Hernandez was arrested and is being held on investigation of first-degree murder.
Denver police said the arrest stemmed from a deadly shooting at 12:18 p.m. Thursday in an alley west of the 2600 block of North Zuni Street. Originally, police said the shooting was near the 2700 block of Speer Boulevard but investigators determined the shooting occurred on Zuni Street.

Following the shooting, witnesses told police that Acosta-Hernandez was seen driving away from the scene. Officers located Acosta-Hernandez's vehicle near West 26th Avenue and North Federal Boulevard, which is about half a mile away from the original shooting scene.
