A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when a BMW hit him while he walked outside Balboa Park, police said Friday.
San Diego police officers were called at 9:10 p.m. Thursday to Sixth Avenue and Maple Street.
A driver steering a 2015 BMW sedan southbound on Sixth Avenue approached Maple while the pedestrian, 47, crossed Sixth in an unmarked crosswalk to the west.
The driver, 63, failed to yield to the pedestrian and collided with him, police said. The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries, including a severe brain bleed, multiple fractures to his leg and a pelvic fracture.
