Mindy Kaling has been stunning fans with her red carpet looks during this year's award season—and she was just as glamorous during her appearance on the Today show this week.
The Office alum sat down with Savannah Guthrie on Thursday, March 6, to chat about co-creating the new Netflix series Running Point, which stars Kate Hudson as the owner of a professional basketball team. Kaling chose a super colorful ensemble for the occasion, wearing a cream-colored satin mini dress with a rainbow-hued geometric print and whimsical gold buttons.

During her chat with Guthrie, Kaling opened up about getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, calling it a "purely joyful moment," as well as how having a third child has changed her life—and her home. The star is a mom to three children: Katherine, 7, Spencer, 4, and Anne, 1.
"When I had two children I felt like you would go to my house and it was like ah, a tasteful, colorful home of a woman who has children," Kaling explained, adding, "And now, it looks like I run a preschool of 40 children. There's weird, mechanical toys going off, you step on Legos."
The multitalented actress also talked about writing the script for Legally Blonde 3—and whether or not the movie will actually get made.
"To me, Elle Woods is my Avenger, so I want Reese [Witherspoon] to do this," Kaling revealed.
"I loved working on the script, but honestly it's one of these projects, unlike my TV shows, where I don't like know, really, the process as much," she continued.
"But you know, she's iconic, Jennifer Coolidge is like, having such a huge moment, I would personally love to see that," Kaling added.
