Fire damaged more than a dozen storage facility units in Lakeside early Wednesday morning.
According to the Lakeside Fire Protection District, crews responded around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to 12202 Woodside Ave. at StaxUP Storage in Lakeside, near the intersection of Lakeside Ave. and State Route 67.
Fire officials said the blaze spread to 15 units.
No injuries were immediately reported, and the amount of property damage done was unclear. NBC San Diego reported that one firefighter fell through the floor of the building. However, he was extricated without injury.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
