DENVER (KDVR) — A section of a northern Colorado highway is shut down due to a heavy police presence, according to law enforcement.
At about 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday, the city of Greeley said westbound Highway 34 and West 10th Street are shut down from Highway 257 to County Road 13 for an indefinite period of time.
The Colorado State Patrol confirmed this information and said the closure was due to a law enforcement situation but did not clarify what exactly was happening. At one point, streetview cameras from the Colorado Department of Transportation showed police cars with their lights activated.

According to COTrip, the closure is south of Windsor, near West Greeley. Anyone trying to get in or out of Greeley on Wednesday morning is asked to find an alternative route.
