After handing over the hosting reins to Simu Liu on yesterday's episode of her talk show, Kelly Clarkson was back to interview Noah Wyle today—and to reveal exactly what she loves about his current look.
During Wyle's appearance on the Tuesday, March 4 installment of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the "Since You've Been Gone" songstress took the opportunity to compliment the actor on his appearance.

"You get to have a beard for this show," she pointed out, referring to Wyle's new medical drama, The Pitt.
"I love it! I love beard game," she continued. "And I heard that you couldn't on ER, right?"
"Well, I grew one in the off season," Wyle recalled, adding, "And then they let me keep it, I think just to sort of humiliate me by having me glued to a patient in an episode. And then I had to shave it off. But it's sort of a default setting. My wife doesn't mind it. So I keep it when I can."
"I love it! Yeah, I love a beard. It's so cool," Clarkson raved.
"It's getting greyer," Wyle pointed out, laughing.
Clarkson went on to ask if the beard presented any "problems" for Wyle on set.
"I hear because of how y'all shoot the show, you have to keep it looking exactly the same, because it's shot like, by the hour," she said.
"I'm doing this show that every episode is one hour in one shift in one day...so we're all, you know, we can't gain a pound, can't lose a pound," Wyle explained. "We can't get a haircut, can't get a tan. Can't get a tattoo."

"I already wouldn't qualify," Clarkson joked. "All of those things, it's hard. The body fluctuates."
"It does," Wyle agreed. "Coming back from the Christmas break was a little challenging."

On Instagram, commenter wholeheartedly agreed with Clarkson's opinion on facial hair.
"Great beard ?," one person wrote.
"He still looks fine ??," a second social media user declared.
"Okay, I’m growing my beard," quipped someone else.
Luckily for Clarkson and other fans Wyle's beard, Max announced last month that The Pitt has been renewed for a second season. However, viewers will likely have to wait until at least 2026 for an update on their favorite characters.
