Carroll had two at-bats, in which he struck out swinging in the first inning and hit a fly out to center field in the top of the second inning. He did not return to the field for the bottom of the third inning.
The young star has six hits, three home runs, eight RBIs and two stolen bases over five spring training games. He is hitting .500 and has a .440 on-base percentage. His three home runs are the most ever he has hit in Spring Training.
He entered Sunday as one of five ball players to have at least three home runs in the spring season.
