A source close to the situation tells us that it was just this past weekend that she was "trying to make plans this past weekend to see friends." They also said Trachtenberg "was happy to be back in New York City" and "living the bicoastal life," with homes in both Los Angeles and Manhattan.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star was found her deceased in her Manhattan apartment on the morning of Wednesday, Feb. 26.
ABC News reported that the actress "recently underwent a liver transplant and may have been experiencing complications," and police have confirmed that foul play is not suspected in her death. A formal cause of death is pending autopsy and investigation results.
"She was one of the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful friends," the source added. "Those close to her are shocked, gutted, devastated and heartbroken."
Trachtenberg's colleagues were also stunned by the news, with her Harriet the Spy costar Rosie O'Donnell, telling People and Us Weekly that the 39-year-old's death was "heartbreaking."
“I loved her very much," O'Donnell said. "She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped.”
