CITRUS HEIGHTS — A Sacramento County deputy was placed on administrative leave after he was arrested this week.
Citrus Heights police arrested the deputy off of Mariposa Avenue early Sunday morning. The call came in at about 4:30 p.m. He was booked into jail and released the same day.
The deputy was initially accused of resisting arrest, loitering on someone's property with intent to commit a crime, and driving under the influence.
The Sacramento County District Attorney's Office said it has declined to file charges pending further investigation.
Aside from confirming the deputy worked for the department, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office would not share any other details about his arrest.
We are not naming the deputy as he has not been formally charged with any crimes.
