MODESTO – A woman has died after a late-night crash in Modesto on Monday, authorities say.
According to the Modesto Police Department, officers responded near River Road and Avon Street a little before midnight to investigate a crash.
At the scene, officers found that a vehicle had crashed into a tree. Police say the driver, a woman, was unresponsive.
Medics soon pronounced the woman dead, police say.
The name of the woman has not yet been released by authorities.
