5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita and Western Antelope Valley Foothills were placed under an updated wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Monday at 7:09 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Tuesday at noon.
The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA says to prepare for, “Northwest to north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
