5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita and Western Antelope Valley Foothills were placed under a wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Monday at 2:03 p.m. The advisory is valid from 7 p.m. until Tuesday noon.
According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
