India cricket team pacer Harshit Rana credited Jasprit Bumrah for helping him prepare for ICC Champions Trophy. Featuring in his first-ever match in an ICC event against Bangladesh, the Delhi bowler impressed with a 3-wicket haul. Rana was fast-tracked to ODIs ahead of the marquee tournament and has been picked ahead of the experienced Siraj.

Speaking to reporters after IND vs BAN, Rana said that working with Bumrah was very beneficial as the veteran had a rich experience. He revealed that the former had told him how to bowl in each format, adding that he picked up consistency from Bumrah.
“Working with Jassi bhai (Bumrah) benefits a lot because he has lot of experience. He tells me how to bowl in which format. I picked consistency from him,” Rana said.

Rana further said that he had learnt a lot from India bowling coach Morne Morkel. He revealed that the South African had worked with him on his line and length. When asked about the upcoming high-octane IND vs PAK clash, Harshit said that he was going to take it as a normal game. He added that every match was a pressure one when it came to playing for the country.
Harshit finished with figures of 3/31 from 7.4 overs, aptly supporting Shami who bagged a five-wicket haul. India clinched a dominating 6-wicket win against Bangladesh to start off their Champions Trophy campaign on a winning note. The Men in Blue will take on arch-rivals Pakistan next on February 23 in Dubai.
