AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A 3-alarm fire in south Austin has been "knocked down" at a condo complex in south Austin, and the Austin Fire Department said it is continuing to look for "additional hazards."
AFD said on social media it responded to a "roof fire" shortly before 8 p.m. located in the 1500 block of Barton Springs Road. Around 8:30 p.m., AFD said one person was rescued from the fire. Then, around 8:50 p.m., AFD said there were two patients "as a result of this fire," and both of them were being evaluated by EMS.
AFD said those nearby should avoid the area and expect delays.

KXAN Meteorologist Nick Bannin said the water being used by AFD to put the fire out will turn to ice, due to the temperatures currently in the mid-20s with a wind chill of 15 degrees.
