(KRON) – The California Highway Patrol is asking for help in locating an elderly woman with mental health ailments who went missing on Friday.
Peggy Young is described as a 69-year-old Black woman. She weighs around 180 pounds and is five foot seven inches. Young has brown eyes and black hair.
Around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Young left Juana Care in San Leandro to visit a friend in Oakland but has not returned or contacted her care providers. She was last seen wearing a black and green blouse and black pajama pants.

According to CHP, Young does not have a cell phone. However, she is familiar with public transportation.
Anyone with information regarding Young’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office at 510-667-7721 or their local law enforcement agency.
