Jim Belushi looked nearly unrecognizable while walking the red carpet at an event celebrating a show that has deep meaning for him and his family.
The 70-year-old actor and comedian was among the many stars who showed up at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, N.Y., on Friday, Feb. 14, to attend SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert. The Valentine’s Day show is part of a larger celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the sketch comedy show, which premiered back in 1975.

The According to Jim star showed off his trim figure while posing for photos on the red carpet wearing a black suit, which he paired with black shoes and a black shirt. He wore a pair of glasses and sported a bit of graying facial hair, which contrasted the dark shade of his short haircut.

Fans who reacted online to the photos agreed that the younger brother of the late John Belushi was “looking handsome” for the special outing.
“I love that Jim Belushi is there! He looks great,” one fan wrote as another echoed, “Jim Belushi looks GREAT.”
The About Last Night actor appeared on Saturday Night Live between 1983 and 1985 following his brother’s death in 1982. In a recent interview with the Providence, R.I.-based television news station WJAR, Jim seemed amazed at the milestone the popular NBC sketch comedy show is celebrating this year.
“Fifty years! And John was in the first sketch 50 years ago,” he recalled.
While reflecting on his own time at SNL, the Little Shop of Horrors actor described the job as “the toughest thing I’d ever done.”
“You were in a grind with high pressure, high competition,” he explained, though he said that experience made other jobs in comedy and acting feel less difficult in comparison.
“Movies are easy, television shows,” he said. “It was like I got my doctorate degree in comedy. It was beautiful. I’m so grateful for Saturday Night Live.”
