One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash Sunday morning in suburban Barrington, officials say.
According to a press release from the Barrington Police Department, the crash occurred in the 200 block of South Northwest Highway.
Officers were called to the scene just after 4 a.m. and found that at least two vehicles had been involved in the collision.
One unidentified individual was killed in the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Identification of the individual has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The Major Crash Assistance Team of Lake County is assisting in the investigation of the collision, according to police.
