An early morning fire on Thursday displaced a Derby family from their home.
Crews responded to the 3 a.m. fire and quickly got it under control, according to a post on X from the South Adams County Fire Department. No injuries were reported.
The single-family home that caught fire is near East 88th Avenue and Wikiup Drive in Derby, close to the Pelicans Ponds Open Space.
Officials said the Red Cross will be assisting the family, and South Adams County Fire officials are investigating the cause.
