Diplo made headlines when he admitted that he was on LSD during his virtual appearance on New Year's Eve Live alongside Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper—and again, just weeks later, at a Super Bowl party.
Now, Dr. Drew has warned the DJ about using the drug regularly, predicting some potentially devastating consequences.

The former Celebrity Rehab host told TMZ that he's "gravely" concerned about Diplo's frequent LSD usage, saying he could even end up hospitalized.
"It can happen. I have seen that from higher doses of LSD for sure," Dr. Drew said.
According to the doctor, Diplo could develop mania or another type of neurotoxicity if his LSD intake isn't managed by a professional, explaining that he has witnessed patients using LSD suffer from mood disturbances and different kinds of psychotic episodes.
Dr. Drew also said that his biggest worry is the lack of research associated with LSD and its long-term effects.

Diplo's LSD use was more of a source of amusement than concern on New Year's Eve when he surprised Cohen and Cooper by admitting he was tripping.
“I’m so curious. What’s the most conventional place that you’ve done LSD?” Cohen asked at the time, with Diplo responding, “Right now.”
At the Fanatics Super Bowl party in New Orleans on Saturday, Feb. 8, Diplo opened up to a reporter about his affinity for acid.
“I do that. I’m on it now again,” Diplo said, per TMZ. “I’m just chilling. It’s a little bit. I’m not, like, tripping. I’m not gonna do backflips.”
Diplo said that he micro-doses about “four times a week," adding that while he was “not going to suggest to take drugs to people,” anyone interested should “try it and see how your body reacts.”
