The Weld RE-4 School District’s central office will temporarily relocate until the end of the year to undergo renovations.
Construction will move staff to modular buildings across the district by Monday, according to a Weld RE-4 news release. It is expected to impact operations at the office until Dec. 31.
People can access in-person assistance, the Employee Services Department and Business Services Department at a building on the east side of Tozer Primary School, at 501 Oak St. in Windsor. In-person assistance will not be available until Wednesday.
The location for meetings and appointments with central services staff will vary. Weld RE-4 advises connecting with staff members to confirm the location and check-in protocol.
Only deliveries addressed to the Technology Department will be accepted at 1020 Main St., Windsor, the release said. People can still address mail to 1020 Main St., and the district’s internal delivery system will reroute as needed. All phone numbers will remain the same.
The construction zone at 1020 Main St. will have a dedicated posting location, according to the release. People can also find postings on the district’s website.
The office building, originally constructed in 1989, received an addition in 2007 with bond premium funds. Since then, Weld RE-4’s enrollment has increased by more than 4,500 students, rendering a need to increase the number of central support staff like human resources, instructional support and technology.
The 2022 bond program contingency fund balance will fund the expansion of the space to “provide adequate working conditions for staff working to support districtwide functions,” according to the release.
