It was another dramatic recoupling on Love Island All Stars on Friday 7th February, with the boys having the power to choose who they wanted to couple up with.

After going toe-to-toe with Grace Jackson for Luca Bish’s affections, Samie Elishi was one whose future was uncertain.

And what would the islanders choose to do now they could pick their own partners following the public vote interference?

Samie Elishi

Love Island aired another dramatic recoupling in which the boys had the power to choose who they wanted to couple up with. It followed the earlier villa shake-up in which Luca Bish was paired with Samie after a public vote, leaving his previous partner Grace Jackson less than impressed.

Things didn’t go Samie’s way, however, when Luca decided to stick with Grace instead, recoupling with her.

The decision left Samie single – her single focus on Luca seemingly leading to her downfall.

The islanders then received a text announcing that the girls who had been left single, Samie and Danielle, were dumped from the villa.

Danielle Sellers

Similar to Samie’s short stint in the villa, Danielle’s decision to shoot for one of the strongest couples in the villa didn’t work out for her.

After pursuing Curtis Pritchard initially, she struggled to find a connection with anyone else. After previously being paired with Chuggs by the public, she was left single when he opted to couple up with Tina at the next recoupling.

The islanders then received a text announcing that the girls who had been left single, Samie and Danielle, were dumped from the villa.

Ron Hall

Ron became the second All Star this season to choose to walk from the villa of his own accord.

He quit the series just days after Scott Thomas decided to leave, saying: “I know we’ve just lost Scott, and I know it’s s**t, but it is my time.

“There’s only so much that I can do, sitting in the sun, just sort of staring at the door for the right person. I just don’t know whether that right person is going to come in for me so I am going to go tonight.”

Ron chose to leave the villa because he hadn’t struck up a particularly strong connection with any of the women, saying he was a “logical person” and noting that it was the right time.

Scott Thomas

Scott shocked viewers and his fellow Islanders alike when he revealed he wanted to leave the villa after feeling he wasn’t being true to himself when exploring his connection with Tina.

Speaking to Maya Jama following his exit, Scott said: “I found two connections, which I feel is like winning the lottery in there. I felt like if I had to start again with a new connection I’d be losing myself and I wouldn’t be true to myself.”

Kaz Crossley

Following the public’s vote of their favourite Islanders, Kaz Crossley was the girl with the fewest votes and was therefore dumped from the villa.

“I feel very excited to get back to my family and friends and I feel proud of myself,” said Kaz of her exit. “I feel like I stayed true to myself and I really enjoyed my time in there.”

Montel McKenzie

Montel was amongst the Islanders voted as the least favourite and in a bid to keep him and Kaz together, Elma and Luca delivered the tough decision to dump them from the island.

Speaking of the decision his fellow Islanders made, Montel said: “They were trying to split up as little couples as possible and I was in a couple with Kaz. So even if I did stay, I was losing Kaz, so it was like a lose-lose situation.

“Obviously Tina is with Scott and Nas didn’t have a romantic couple. So I can see why they made that decision.”

Nas Majeed

Nas was yet another Islander who received the fewest votes from the public and was therefore dumped from the villa, but he isn’t leaving with any regrets.

“When Catherine and I decided to be friends it took the pressure off,” he said of his journey in the All Stars villa.

“It’s not easy being in a friendship couple when you see other couples growing closer. But once the pressure was relieved, we just knew we both wanted the best for each other. It brought us closer. I was still making her an iced coffee in the morning. I don’t even drink coffee.”

Olivia Hawkins

After Olivia and Marcel were voted to be the least compatible, their time in the villa was over.

Asked how she was feeling after being dumped, Olivia said: “I feel good. It’s a weird feeling, horrible to leave the friendships you made behind but I’ve left with Marcel so I guess I came and I got what I wanted, so I can’t complain!”

Marcel Somerville

After being dumped from the villa with Olivia, Marcel said the moment was “bittersweet”.

“Being in the villa and getting to know everyone, it was a lovely time. I really enjoyed my time in there,” said Marcel.

He added: “Getting to know Olivia was really nice as well. But obviously I’m gonna be back home and I’ll get to see my little boy sooner rather than later, that’s a very exciting thing for me, I can’t wait! I had a dream about him last night so I can’t wait to get back and see the little man.”

India Reynolds 

India Reynolds became the first Islander to be dumped from the All Stars villa, and it was in truly brutal fashion.

During Sunday night’s episode, it was time for bombshell Tina Stinnes to couple up with an Islander, and this meant she’d be stealing someone from one of the girls.

As Tina chose her former season 2 co-star Scott Thomas, India was dumped from the villa.

In her post-dumping chat with Maya Jama, India told the host: “I don’t think I would have enjoyed [seeing Scott with Tina] at all. I kind of said bye, but we’d had such an awkward 24 hours, so it wasn’t like we were really good, and then I got dumped.

“It was almost like we were just starting to clear the air.”

She said of Scott: “Look, I think he’s a nice guy. I’ve known him for a long time, I don’t think he’s a bad person – but I think the last day in there really put a big wedge between us.”
