Graduation day is just a few months away for Weld County high school seniors, and some may still be wondering how they’re going to pay for college.
This year, the Greeley Stampede Foundation will award $2,500 scholarships to 20 outstanding Weld County high school seniors.
In addition to those scholarships, a newly established scholarship valued at $100,000 is likely to change the life of one Weld County senior. Back in November, Stampede Foundation officials announced the launch of the All-Around Champion Impact scholarship. The four-year college scholarship will provide up to $25,000 annually to the chosen student.
A Stampede Foundation committee will select the top applicants for the newly established scholarship. Finalists will be contacted with instructions to move forward in the selection process.
“We are excited to add this scholarship opportunity as we know that this large amount of financial support will be life-changing for the recipient,” Stampede Foundation Chairman Tracy Damrell said in a news release.
The deadline to apply for these scholarships is midnight Saturday, March 1.
