Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which ended its original, seven-season run more than 20 years ago, is readying a comeback. Deadline reports that a revival series is "nearing a pilot order from Hulu, with Sarah Michelle Gellar expected to star, reprising her signature role as Buffy Summers."
According to the outlet, the pilot, written by Nora and Lilla Zuckerman (Poker Face), would be directed by Chloé Zhao, the Oscar-winning director of Nomadland and a famous Buffy fan.
