Australia cricket team players just can’t seem to get over the Jasprit Bumrah nightmare in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Mitchell Marsh was the latest to accept it. The all-rounder revealed how he was still troubled by the premium Indian pacer even after the series, this time in the form of his own kin. Marsh, who played the first 4 Tests against India, was dismissed on three occasions by Bumrah during the series.

Speaking at Australian Cricket Awards ceremony, Marsh revealed that his 4-year-old nephew had troubled him just like Bumrah did while playing backyard cricket. He said that Ted had come up with the Indian pacer’s action which led to his nightmare continuing.
“My little nephew, Ted, is four years old. We played backyard cricket the other day, and he came in with Bumrah’s action, and the nightmare continues,” said Marsh

Meanwhile, Marsh has been ruled out of ICC Champions Trophy owing to a back injury. Cricket Australia had issues a statement which claimed that he had suffered a lower back flare up which led to the medical team deciding to extend his recovery period. The all-rounder will now undergo further rest and rehabilitation as a part of his return to action.
“Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the upcoming ICC Men’s Champion’s Trophy with ongoing lower back pain and dysfunction,” CA said in a statement.
