Fowler added that as of now, it is unclear if Pederson has any interest in that role, but teams have looked into it.
The Jaguars moved on from Pederson following the 2024 regular season, after Jacksonville mustered just four wins.
In his three seasons with the Jaguars, Pederson had a combined record of 22-29, which included two 9-8 seasons in 2022 and 2023 and a playoff berth.
However, with Pederson at the helm and Press Taylor as the offensive coordinator, the Jaguars offense would take a step backwards in each of the last two years.
In 2022, the Jaguars averaged 23.9 points per game, which ranked ninth. But in 2023 they ranked 15th and then 26th this past year. In yards per play, Jacksonville ranked ninth in that category in 2022. But they would to 17th in 2023 and 18th in 2024.
The Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among the teams who have an offensive coordinator opening.
