The Tempo hotel and residences overlooks the surf beach of Praia Brava. It has a landscaped garden at its centre that will extend the beachfront and add nature trails, pavilions, water features and pools.
Buildings with undulating façades will face onto the garden. Each hotel suite has its own private terrace and access to an infinity pool with a 360-degree view of the sea and the mountains.
Residential areas are separate, and are made up of whole-floor flats with private gardens.
The project is being developed by the Muze real estate development group.
David Summerfield, Foster + Partners’ head of studio, said: “The Tempo hotel and residences capture the spirit of this vibrant coastal location. Nature is woven through every part of the development, which will take residents and guests on a truly spectacular journey.”
Juan Frigerio, a partner at Foster + Partners, added: “Every element of our scheme has been carefully designed to establish new connections with the spectacular surroundings.”
