GIRLS BASKETBALL TOP 25

(Records through Monday, Jan. 20)

1. Mater Dei (20-2): The Monarchs cap a four-game week by playing host to reigning Nevada state champion Bishop Gorman and Rancho Christian on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Mater Dei tipped off the week with a 61-39 win against Windward on Monday.

2. Fairmont Prep (16-8): The Huskies could be challenged by the height and rebounding of visiting San Clemente on Friday.

3. Sage Hill (12-7): Kamdyn Klamberg had 16 points and Amalia Holguin added 14 as the Lightning defeated Brentwood 60-42 at the Mira Costa showcase.

4. Villa Park (19-4): The Spartans play El Dorado in an intriguing game at the Glendora showcase on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

6. San Clemente (17-5): Reese Tremper, a 6-foot-1 junior, had 17 points and 10 rebounds in 64-41 win against San Juan Hills in the South Coast League.
