Jiri Prochazka has revealed details of a heartwarming pub visit with Jamahal Hill shortly after knocking him out at UFC 311.
Prochazka went toe-to-toe with Hill on the main card of UFC 311, knocking his American counterpart out in the third round.
The Czech Republic man dropped ‘Sweet Dreams’ several times throughout the bout, and finished him after landing a beautiful combination that his opponent never recovered from.
”We saw each other after the fight, and in the bar, when we went back to the hotel,” Prochazka, 32, said on The Ariel Helwani show.
“I bought him a glass of vodka. We took a shot, I just told him: ‘We fight together, we drink together – all good between us.’
“He’s a good guy, man. He is a really good guy.”
HIll posted a video of the pair sharing the glass of vodka on his Instagram account, congratulating Prochazka on one ‘hell of a fight’.
“I want to thank everybody that reached out with love and support,” he added.
“I truly appreciate you all. My fire has never burned hotter or brighter for my future and growth.
“Fighting against the elite of the elite is an honour and blessing that I don’t take for granted.
“My head is high my heart is full and I can’t wait for my time to shine again.
“Sweet Dreams Nation we move forward and onward!”

Meanwhile, Merab Dvalishvili, who won his co-main event on the same night at UFC 311 said: “Respect warriors.”
Prochazka’s fight with Hill attracted the attention of those from outside of the combat sports world, as well as those who love it, after the former revealed he had shaved his head in ‘solidarity’ for a cancer-fighting fan ahead of the bout.
Prochazka had announced at a press conference that he was donating $50,000 to Ashly McGarity, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in September.
Prochazka shaved off his trademark ponytail for the fightMcGarity had caught the attention of Prochazka after posting images of her hair that emulated the former UFC champion’s traditional ponytail.
“Lost my hair to chemo – not before celebrating my favourite UFC fighter” she said on Reddit.
Before the fight, Prochazka had the opportunity to meet McGarity, and he called her ‘a good one’ in an emotional video that had thousands of UFC fans holding back their tears.
As well as the donation, Prochazka handed McGarity a moment to cherish when he brought her on stage for his pre-fight weight-in before UFC 311.
After his main card victory over Hill, Prochazka called out UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira for a trilogy bout.
Prochazka has already fought the Brazilian star twice in the last two years, but was knocked out on both occasions.
Pereira puts his light-heavyweight title on the line for the fourth time in the main event of UFC 313 on March 9 against Magomed Ankalaev.
Following his victory, it is likely Prochazka will face the winner of Pereira vs Ankalaev.
