DENVER (KDVR) -- Denver International Airport is seeing the effects of overnight snow and bitterly cold temperatures as hundreds of flights have been delayed Monday.
Just under 500 flights, 491, have been delayed as of 2:40 p.m. Monday, according to airline tracking site FlightAware. Another 27 flights have also been canceled.
United, Southwest and SkyWest airlines have taken the brunt of the delays with more than 100 each. The majority of delays are outbound flights leaving Denver, but about 200 delays are incoming flights to DIA.
Of the 27 canceled flights, 12 came from regional airline SkyWest.
