Sunday will start sunny but clouds will increase in the afternoon. Temperatures will be similar to Saturday with highs only in the teens. Stay inside if you are able to; it's going to be dangerously cold as wind chills will be in the single digits, even in the negatives at times.
Weather tonight: Snow and cold
Snow is coming to Denver tonight as lows are forecasted to sink down into the negatives again. We will see 1-2" of snow overnight in Denver, with some areas to the northwest of Denver such as Boulder and Estes Park seeing 1-3".
Looking ahead: Thawing out
The next few nights will feature temperatures below zero across much of the state. Tuesday morning will likely be the coldest morning of this cold wave. Wind chills Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday morning will all be well below zero.
Temperatures should finally rise above freezing Tuesday afternoon with highs in the middle 30s. It will stay in the 30s until Friday when it warms back to seasonal values in the middle 40s. It doesn’t last long as it will fall into the 30s again next weekend.
