Ange Postecoglou might finally have reached end times at Tottenham after 45 minutes of embarrassment at Goodison Park.
Everton – the Premier League’s second lowest scoring team – took just half an hour to go two goals up against Spurs and they made it look easy.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring in the 13th minute but it was Iliman Ndiaye who made the visitors look as bad as they have under their Australian manager.
With a swift passing move, it was 2-0, and Arsenal great Perry Groves was left stunned on talkSPORT, particularly with David Moyes just arriving at Everton.
“That was Moyes ball, that goal started at the right back position, went into midfield, back out again, left back position, into Ndiaye, that was probably 12 passes which you don’t associate with David Moyes do you,” he began.
“Spurs aren’t closing down properly, it’s half hearted, I think, and I might be wrong, I think this might be Postecoglou’s last week.
“Going up to Everton who couldn’t hit a cow’s backside with a banjo, they weren’t exactly free flowing, for them to actually rip Spurs apart through that passing move means that the Spurs players aren’t buying into Postecoglou and they aren’t playing for him.
“I think he’s going to be under pressure this week.”
And it then got even worse for Tottenham as youngster Archie Gray turned the ball into his own net to make it 3-0 at the break.
talkSPORT host Adrian Durham added: “Is it Ange Postecoglou’s last game?”
