SACRAMENTO – The Athletics revealed that they will be wearing two patches, one to honor Rickey Henderson and another to commemorate the capital city, for their first season at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.

In honor of the A's legend and Baseball Hall of Famer, the team will wear a patch with Henderson's iconic 24 for the entire season.
Henderson, the league's all-time leader in stolen bases, died on Dec. 20. Over his 25-year career, he won the 1989 World Series with the Athletics. He then won another with the Toronto Blue Jays.
A memorial for the 10-time All-Star and 1990 American League MVP will held on Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Oakland Arena.
The A's also announced the team will be wearing a new patch featuring the Tower Bridge with the word "Sacramento" in the script. This comes are the organization plays its first temporary season in Sacramento ahead of its planned move to Las Vegas.
The team's Opening Day at Sutter Health Park is on March 31 when the Chicago Cubs are in town. The team will be handing out a trucker hat with the Sacramento patch and a Henderson rally towel.
