SDG&E crews restored power following patrols and inspections of power lines on foot and by air.
Officials, however, warned residents that the region continues to “experience unprecedented and prolonged dry conditions, creating high wildfire risk” and asked that customers remain remain prepared for more planned outages.
SDG&E is monitoring weather models that indicate additional Santa Ana winds could return again to San Diego County by early next week.
Earlier this week, SDG&E cut off power to customers in parts of the county in response to elevated wildfire weather risks and a historically dry start to the rainy season in the region.
The county, according to meteorologists, is facing a remarkably dry season, with just .14 inch of rain recorded over the 100 days that ended Jan. 8.
Though San Diego firefighters battled several small fires during two Red-Flag warnings in the past week, they were nothing compared to the disaster that hit Los Angeles, where two blazes that are still burning have left 25 dead, according to the Associated Press, and destroyed more than 12,000 structures.
