Edwards had a breakout season in 2024 for the Bulldogs. The WR caught 84 passes for 986 yards and 8 touchdowns. Edwards easily led the Bulldogs in every major receiving category and earned First-team Conference USA honors for his performance.
In total, Edwards played in 27 games over 3 seasons for Louisiana Tech. The speedy receiver caught 107 passes for 1,270 yards and 8 TDs during his tenure with the Bulldogs. Edwards started his college career at Hawaii, playing in 10 games with the Rainbow Warriors as a freshman and catching 5 passes for 37 yards.
With Edwards, the Wildcats have now added a whopping 18 players via the portal. Wide receiver Kendrick Law, previously of Alabama, and defensive lineman David Gusta, previously of Washington State, headline the group of new players heading to Lexington for 2025.
Kentucky needed to be aggressive for WRs in the transfer portal. Hardley Gilmore IV, Barion Brown, Dane Key, Anthony Brown-Stephens, and Brandon White all left the Wildcats this offseason leaving the room thin. Even with those players, the Kentucky pass offense struggled mightily in 2024, finishing with the No. 112 unit in the country in 2024.
