Mrs. Mildred Jean Bennett Jones, age 84 of Gordonsville, TN passed away Thursday January 9, 2025.
Mrs. Jones was born in Gordonsville, TN on November 14, 1940, a daughter of the late Norman “Normie” Bennett and Frances Elizabeth Grisham Bennett. She was married to Allen Ray Jones on May 16, 1969, he preceded her in death on February 29, 2018. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Martha Mai Bennett Fields, Mable Bennett and Linda Faye Bennett. Mrs. Jones was a 1958 graduate of Gordonsville High School and attended the Church of God of Prophecy.
Mrs. Jones is survived by three children: Norma (Bernie) Gregory of Gordonsville, TN, Lisa (Jimmy) Brown of Gordonsville, TN and Bill Jones of Elmira, NY. Grandchildren: Jaime Phann of Carthage, TN, Dustin Kyle Brown of Carthage, TN, Megan (Larry) Ross of Lebanon, TN and John (Cassie) Jones of Florida: great-grandchildren Cali Grace Brown of Carthage, TN, Titus Bo Brown of Carthage, TN and Millie Rayne Jones of Florida.
Mrs. Jones is at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes. Graveside services and interment are scheduled to be conducted at the Gordonsville Cemetery on Friday January 17, 2025 at 1PM by Bro James Guire.
Mrs. Jones family will receive friends at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Friday January 17, 2025 from 12 Noon until we leave to go to the Gordonsville Cemetery at 12:45PM.
