The Weld County Sheriff’s Office has opened its Annual Youth Advancement Scholarship for 2025 — a one-time $500 award to a Weld County student who plans to pursue higher education.
Eligible applicants must be high school seniors or current students at a college or university, citizens of Weld County and accepted into an accredited university or college, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
The application requires a letter of recommendation by a teacher or counselor from the applicant’s school, an official certified scholastic transcript and a 500-word essay answering the question, “What do you see as the future for law enforcement in our nation?”
