The Greeley Police Department’s town meeting that was scheduled for Jan. 30 will be postponed until further notice, city staff recently announced.
The meeting was planned to provide an update on the new Real-Time Information Center. The meeting also served as an opportunity for residents to ask questions about the center and connect with city leaders about the topic.
The Real-Time Information Center is the newest technological leap forward for the Greeley Police Department, allowing police to quickly switch between stoplight cameras to track subjects and review incidents.
As of Wednesday, city staff gave notice that the meeting would need to be postponed and a new date has yet to be identified. The city didn’t immediately answer an inquiry about the reason for the postponement, but city staff are ensuring residents that the meeting will still occur.
For those who have already submitted an RSVP, city staff will send out a notice of the postponement and update residents when a new date has been set.
