January 7, 2025 (PORT SUDAN) – Dozens of Sudanese journalists have urged their elected union to withdraw from a civilian political coalition and steer clear of political entanglements, according to a memorandum seen by Sudan Tribune. The petition, signed by 100 members of the Sudanese Journalists Syndicate, was submitted to the syndicate’s president, executive committee, and council. It comes ahead of an executive committee meeting where the matter is expected to be debated.
