ANDI Peters’ Lorraine segment took an unexpected turn today as he was interrupted live on air for a selfie.
Competitions king Andi was on the streets of Glasgow plugging ITV‘s latest big money prize when one eager fan couldn’t resist asking for a photo – even though he was in the middle of speaking to Lorraine Kelly.
Her timing was made even more comical as it came seconds after a car beeped its horn prompting the presenter to joke: “I’m big in Glasgow”.
When the woman called Fiona first asked, Andi tried explaining that he was unable to as he was live on air.
He said: “Yes, it is me, Andi Peters. I would take a picture, but we are live on the telly, madam. Do carry on.
“You can have a selfie but later, I’m running out of time! Sorry I’ve got to…”
However, she was unfazed and got her way with Andi darting off to take the snap.
He then asked Fiona if she watched Lorraine to which she awkwardly said: “Well, no, because I work! I can’t watch Lorraine.”
Andi then said: “No, don’t say that because Lorraine is right there!”
Confident Fiona then waved and said: “I love Lorraine.”
The host didn’t mind one bit and spent the segment laughing in the studio.
Andi told her: “Sorry about that Lorraine, she said she works, it’s not a very valid excuse, I mean really! Whatever, Fiona, I want that picture back!”
