WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) – The U.S. Department of Transportation is providing nearly $2 million in grant funding towards improving traffic at Marley Crossing near Trenton.
Senators Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven said the funds were awarded Monday to support the North Dakota Department of Transportation in designing alternate options for Highway 1804. They said the goal is to keep trains from interrupting vehicle traffic.
The two-lane road sees heavy oilfield traffic that is expected to increase as construction begins on the Cerilon Gas-to-Liquids plant later this year.
The grant funding is provided through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) program.
