Officials are investigating after a body washed ashore in Hermosa Beach on Sunday night, Jan. 5.
Police and fire crews responded around 7 p.m. to the waterline in the 3500 block of The Strand after reports that a dead man had washed ashore, the Hermosa Beach Police Department said on social media.
Officials don’t believe foul play was involved.
Information on the man’s identity wasn’t immediately available.
The circumstances of the death remain under investigation, and police asked the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
