An Orange County Fire Authority engineer had a fatal heart attack while fighting a residential fire in Laguna Niguel early Sunday morning, the OCFA announced.
Kevin Skinner, a fire apparatus engineer, suffered the heart attack shortly before 5 a.m. Fellow firefighters immediately performed life-saving measures, and he was transported to Providence Mission Hospital, where he died.
“Kevin Skinner was a dedicated member of the OCFA family, serving with distinction andunwavering commitment to the community. His loss is deeply felt by his colleagues and thecountless lives he touched during his career,” the OCFA said in a news release.
