DENVER (KDVR) -- Residents in a neighborhood of Conifer are under a shelter-in-place alert Friday as authorities are responding to a barricaded gunman.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said in a post on X around 3:30 p.m. that deputies were on the scene of a "barricaded gunman situation" in the 12000 block of Critchell Lane.
A LookoutAlert was sent out to residents within a quarter of a mile asking them to shelter in place.
