WHAT: Board of Education Dec. 11 meeting.
PRESENT: Cheryl Kistler, Tracie Allen, William Catlin, Rebekah Conn and Niki Reid.
The board:
• Gave final reading to placing two emergency renewal levies on the May primary ballot. The one five-year renewal levy will generate $841,327 annually and the second five-year renewal levy will generate $770,000 annually for day-to-day operations and maintenance of buildings in the district. Superintendent Greg Bonamase said with renewal levies there is no increase in taxes and no monies will be used for salaries.
• Received a $1,500 donation from the Lordstown Lutheran Church for an elementary school backpack program.
• Set organizational meeting for 6 p.m. Jan. 8.
