Watch: Yashasvi Jaiswal fights with umpires after controversial dismissal as snicko shows no deflection

Young Team India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was not happy with the third umpire's decision regarding his dismissal in the second innings of the fourth Test match against Australia. Yashasvi Jaiswal argued with the on-field umpires after being given out caught behind despite no spike in the UltraEdge replays.

Earlier, Australia resumed day five at 229/8. Australian tailenders Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon added six more runs to the total. Jasprit Bumrah quickly wrapped up the innings by dismissing Lyon for 41 runs. Bumrah took his 13th five-wicket haul in Test cricket, finishing with figures of 5-57 from 24.4 overs.

The incident took place on the fifth ball of the 71st over in India's second innings. Pat Cummins bowled the short ball as part of the planned field setup, and Jaiswal attempted a pull shot, but he gloved it. Alex Carey dived forward to take the catch just above the ground. However, the on-field umpire ruled not out.

Australia took the Decision Review System (DRS) for a caught-behind appeal. Replays showed no spike on the UltraEdge, but the third umpire, Sharfuddoula, overturned the on-field call based on his decision from the visual evidence of the glove contact. Jaiswal expressed his dissatisfaction and argued with the umpires.

"I can see the ball has made contact with the gloves. Joel, you need to change your decision," the third umpire said.
