(KRON) -- A lottery player in Cottonwood, Calif. won the $1.22 billion Mega Millions jackpot on Friday, according to California Lottery.
The winning ticket was bought at Sunshine Food and Gas located at 3505 Rhonda Road in Cottonwood, which is in Shasta County near Redding.
The winning numbers for Friday were 3, 7, 37, 49, and 55 with the Mega Ball number being: 6. The jackpot winner got all six numbers.
Two other California players got all five lottery numbers, but not the Mega Ball, for a prize of $787,543. Those tickets were bought in Roseville and San Bernardino.
Friday's jackpot is the fifth-biggest jackpot in Mega Millions history. The biggest lottery jackpot ever won was $2.04 billion in 2022.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
