Crews were on scene Friday following a gas leak in a home near Loma Verde Park in Chula Vista.
The incident was reported at 2:52 p.m. and fire crews were on the scene in the 1500 block of Max Avenue five minutes later.
“There is a broken gas line that we’re monitoring just in case we need to do mitigation of any hazards,” said Chula Vista Fire Capt. Eric Martinez. “SDG&E is en route.”
A total of 26 personnel responded including four fire engines, one fire truck, one medic and two battalion chiefs.
